lol this reminds me of this weekend. I was making a new Medallion Ran logo for an application on my upcoming Social Media site, and it was going great. I use an outdated program called Macromedia Fireworks (Version 8, Adobe owns all the Macromedia brands including Flash and Dreamweaver now)for most of the graphics I do. It’s much more intuitive than Photoshop, and you can bypass layering, but even though it is capable to draw everything that Photoshop can, you won’t find any tutorials.
I designed the medallion in Photoshop CS5 to use some techniques I learned from a tutorial, but could not figure out how to trim the circle for the life of me. It’s something that should be extremely easy, but apparently can’t be done with an eraser and the circle command. On AutoCAD, I can show you 15 different ways to trim a circle, and probably invent 10 new ones while you watch. Why does Photoshop have to be so difficult?
Hey Adam! Thank you so much for reading and leaving a comment, it is always appreciated. I am glad to see that there are more people that find Photoshop a tad difficult.
I would SO like for it to be easier!
One of the things that people really need to do is simple tasks like removing the background from a logo and there really needs to be a simple way to get it done. Glad I found this short and easy video. I hope that it was able to help a few people.
If you have a program that makes graphics easier..old or not I say enjoy it.
