Social Media is really taking the smaller businesses by storm. It is reported that  a lot of businesses would be changing how they spend their advertising dollars. The goal is now to increase email and Social Media ad spending in 2010 but reduce budgets for search engine marketing and some online display advertisements.  This is HUGE as it may be a forecast for ad spending in 2011.  Full Article in Verticle Response. 

Businesses were surveyed and 74% said they plan on increasing their email marketing spend and 68% said they plan on increasing their social media budget.
