Using your Cell phone to pay for stuff? Would you do it? #GoogleWallet

I have been blogging about NFC so much that I realized that in my excitement to get the news out that maybe people don’t even know what the heck I’m talking about. LOL When people DON’T know what the heck you’re talking about they automatically tune you out. I think that I’ve done that on an occasion or 50 or 60.

Well NFC or Near Field Communications will give us the ability to pay for items by way of cell phone.  So instead of waiting in a line to pay for snacks, tickets or goods we would use our Cell phone, wave it to pay then be on our way. (Wow, did you notice that I just made a rhyme? )

As cool as it sounds there are some people that have concerns. One of the biggest concerns about this method of payment is privacy. However, it seems to me that the people that I’ve talked to with these concerns are usually the same people that always scream about privacy.

As far as I’ve read NFC payments or Mobile Payments will be as safe as paying by way of credit or debit card.  Watch the quick NFC Demo video below:

Would you be interested in this method of payment? Do you have concerns  about privacy issues?

As usual, I would love to hear your thoughts, good, bad, ugly or indifferent. So feel free to post here or directly on my Facebook Wall

Payment by way of online methods are expanding @SociallyPay @Nakeva

I am a big advocate of what now is becoming the back in the day way of payment, Paypal. I started using Paypal quite a while ago, even before they were purchased by Ebay. I have been happy with them for the most part, although they did tie my money up  one time. Bygones…but I was not so pleased with them at that particular time. However I got over it.

Recently there has been a surge in conversation about payments by way of QR code, Square and by way of NFC, all of which I am totally up for.  However there was a new potential payment thrown in the mix to me not more than 5 minutes ago by way of Socially Pay Twitter follow. Gotta’ love social media. I love that I had just opened my blog to write for today and BAM, there they were. Again, gotta’ love social media.

Socially Pay, allows you to pay by way of Twitter or Facebook click. Cool huh? They are in Alpha testing but I am big on Alpha & Beta testing like my friend Nakeva. My questions to you are how progressive are you about technology? Are you willing to pay by QR code, NFC or Social Media?

Well as usual, I welcome comments good, bad, ugly or indifferent. So feel free to leave a comment here, or directly on my Facebook Wall.
